Description
Guide Review - Club-Lok Golf Bag and Theft Prevention SystemBurton Golf has been around since 1907, turning out quality golf bags both fashionable and functional. The Club-Lok is something new not only for Burton, but for the golf bag industry. The Club-Lok is a golf bag with a built-in anti-theft system. That system is called the Club-Lok Golf Club Theft Prevention System, and it protects the individual clubs within the bag, plus the entire bag itself. The system is cleverly designed and easy to use, and it does not in any way interfere with the functions of a normal golf bag (even without the Club-Lok system built-in, the bag is attractive and functional). The only drawback to the system - for some - will be that it requires the use of an organizer bag top. Many golfers prefer open tops, but even if you prefer the open top, if you are concerned about the security of your clubs it's a very small concession to make. There are two parts to the system, both of which are secured by the use of a customizable combination lock on the front of the bag. First is the hidden series of club clamps under the organizer top. When two levers on the sides of the bag top are snapped into place, these graphite-friendly clamps lock into position, preventing the removal of individual clubs from the bag. Second is the retractable steel cable on the bag top that extends out, to be wrapped around something secure (the bag rack oustide a clubhouse, for example) and locked into the front of the bag. The Club-Lok is a terrific innovation in golf bags. Related Guide Picks |
