The Bottom Line

The Caddy Sak is a moderately effective product whose purpose is to allow the golfer to quickly clean golf balls without the need to carry around a golf towel. It gets higher marks for convenience that performance, although it does well in "light" conditions.
Pros
  • Easy to use.
  • Stays dry on the outside.
  • Allows golfer to carry balls, tees, marker clipped to belt rather than in pocket.
Cons
  • Doesn't perform well on wet or muddy days.
  • Small surface area of inner lining means the lining itself gets dirty after a while.

Guide Review - Caddy Sak

The point of the Caddy Sak is to give the golfer a more convenient way to quickly clean his golf ball when he is on the green - no need to carry a golf towel from the cart to the green.

And it is convenient. The Caddy Sak is small, lightweight, and clips to a golfer's belt; it can be used to carry two balls at a time, plus three tees and a ball marker, keeping those items out of the golfer's pocket.

But its primary mission is to clean golf balls. Does it do a good job on that count? Well ...

If you have a few grass blades or a little bit of dirt on the ball, the Caddy Sak does, indeed, do a fine job. But its effectiveness decreases as the grass-grime-and-dirt level of the golf ball increases.

Because of its size, the cleaning area of the Caddy Sak is necessarily limited. That inner lining gets dirty itself after a while, decreasing its effectiveness as a scrubbing surface.

And on wet, muddy days? The inner lining gets dirtier much faster and becomes less effective much quicker.

Overall, the Caddy Sak isn't anything special, but it does a decent job under "light" conditions and is better than a similar product reviewed earlier.
