Cleveland Golf is adding both to its W-Series line of women's club and to its clubs under the Launcher brand with the new W-Series Launcher irons.
The W-Series Launcher irons are Cleveland Golf's first true entry into the game improvement category for women. The new irons have the highest MOI (Moment of Inertia) and the lowest, deepest center-of-gravity available in any Cleveland Golf iron.
The W-Series Launcher irons are designed to offer mid- to high-handicap players more accuracy and less loss of distance on off-center hits, while their wider sole helps players get the ball up in the air quickly and easily. Their extra-large cavity and face help create an even larger sweet spot.
"Robotic testing has shown these new irons to have the tightest shot dispersion of any iron in their category," said Todd Harman, Director of Product Marketing for Cleveland Golf. "These are the most forgiving irons that weve ever made."
The W-Series Launcher irons, made from 17-4 stainless steel with a high polish finish, have an MSRP of $800 and come with lightweight graphite shafts made specifically for women. They became available on Dec. 1, 2004.
