Fairhaven, MA Complementing the tour-proven and serious player acceptance of the recently introduced Titleist Pro Titanium 905 driver franchise, Titleist unveils its new comprehensive line of Pro Trajectory 904F fairway metals. The new fairway metals offer the serious golfer improved launch, spin and flight characteristics, providing a high launch, low spin, long distance 3-wood, and a full complement of higher-lofted models for long game trajectory and yardage gap fitting. The Pro Trajectory 904F series is available in five lofts ranging from 13 to 22 degrees in both right and left hand and incorporates the same clean, classic round pear-shaped profile and technologically advanced performance of the Titleist Pro Titanium 905 drivers.
"The new Titleist Pro Trajectory 904F fairway metals are a byproduct of the work and research we have conducted with our PGA Tour player staff as well as PGA club professionals," comments Chris McGinley, Vice President, Golf Club Marketing, Titleist. "Many competitive fairway metals are designed to help get the ball up in the air, sacrificing trajectory and control. The new Pro Trajectory 904F family of fairway metals gets the ball up easily, yet maintains a flatter more boring ball flight for optimum trajectory, shot control and longer distance. This performance deliverable, combined with a clean, simple head shape adds up to a fairway metal that looks great in the playing position and plays even better."
Development and Design
The body of the Titleist Pro Trajectory 904F fairway metals is constructed from 355 Carpenter Steel. Utilizing a two-piece face pull construction, the 904F fairway metals feature a thinner, uniform 275 Carpenter Steel face insert plate that contributes to a solid, lively feel, higher ball speed and hotter flight. A thin outer face flange supports the face insert to maintain consistent ball-speed and feel across the face.
The new 904F fairway metals are designed with an optimum center of gravity location, low and forward, and the proper distance from the shaft axis. This creates higher launch and lower spin, and increases ball speed on center face impacts. A reduced amount of dynamic face closure provides for easy up performance and an improved high and flat downrange trajectory the hallmark of Titleist metal woods. The combination of a traditional sole design featuring less curvature from heel to toe, as well as an increased head volume of 15cc versus its predecessor, provides higher ball speed on off-center impacts than the previous generation fairway metal. The new 904F is designed for both high performance flight and great looks. The more rounded profile, along with the raised crown logo and highlights around the face impact area, look great in the playing position and provide better visual alignment.

The Pro Trajectory 904F fairway metals are available in lofts of 13, 15, 17, 19 and 22 degrees in both right and left hand.
