Adams Ramps Up Redline with RPM Driver, Fairway Woods

By , About.com Guide

Sep 30 2004
There are a couple new kids on the block in the Redline family of woods from Adams: the Redline RPM titanium driver and fairway woods.

"RPM" stands for Adams' "RePositioned Mass" technology, which removes weight from the crown and repositions it to the soleplate with tungsten inserts. The benefits, Adams says, are increased ball speed, improved launch angle and spin rate, and higher MOI for more forgiveness.

The clubs also incorporate something Adams calls "xFace" engineering, an expansion of the COR zones across the face for better performance on off-center strikes.

The Redline RPM Driver is available in two models – Neutral for golfers seeking maximum forgiveness and workability, and Draw for golfers who want to reduce slicing and maximize distance.

The Redline RPM Driver includes a 60 gram Fujikura Shaft, available in X, S, R, A and women's flexes. It also comes with a Golf Pride Velvet feel grip for men and a Winn grip for Women.

Available lofts for the Adams RPM driver are:

• Neutral - Right handed: 8°, 9°, 10°, 11°
• Neutral - Left handed: 9°, 10°
• Draw - Right handed: 9°, 10°, 11°
• Draw - Left handed: 9°, 10°
• Women’s - Right handed: 13°

The MSRP for the Redline RPM Driver is $349.95.

The Redline RPM fairway woods utilize the same "RePositoned Mass" technology and "xFace" engineering as the Redline RPM titanium driver. They were also designed with the patented Tight Lies upside down design, which makes them forgiving and playable from any lie.

The fairway wood is available in lofts of:

• Right handed: 13° Strong/3-Wood, 15°/3-Wood , 19°/5-Wood
• Left Handed: 15°/3-Wood

The RPM fairway woods come with 75-gram, low-torque Fujikura Shafts and are available in X, S, R, and A flexes. The standard grip is Golf Pride Velvet Feel.

The MSRP for the Redline RPM Titanium Fairway Woods is $299.95 each.
