For the first time, Nike Golf has created a ball specifically to market to women golfers. The Nike Super Lady golf ball is an extension of the company's Power Distance series.
"This is an important step for us in our golf ball category," said Stan Grissinger, Category Business Director for Nike Golf Clubs and Balls. "We are seeing phenomenal success and growth opportunities in our women's apparel and footwear business, and are inspired to expand this run in our ball and equipment categories."
The Power Distance Super Lady ball features a low-compression core and a softened ionomer cover. The ball is designed to help produce higher-trajectory shots for added carry, while offering a very soft feel and benefits across many different swing speeds.
Specifically, the Power Distance Super Lady ball is a 2-piece ball with a solid core; a 432-dimple pattern; and a compression rating of 60. Nike Super Lady balls sell for a recommended retail price of $20 per dozen.
