Lovett Adds Tour Gap Wedge

By Brent Kelley, About.com

Dec 9 2004

The past year has been a successful one for Lovett Golf, makers of the Lovett Wedge. So for 2005, the company is rolling out a new club: the Lovett Tour Gap Wedge.

With the new Tour Gap Wedge, Lovett now offers a full line of wedges. The Tour Gap Wedge fits between the company's Tour Standard (sand) and Pitching wedges.

The new Lovett Tour Gap Wedge incorporates all the features that Lovett has become known for, including the teardrop-shaped clubhead, contoured face, leading edge curved ahead of the hosel and various sole radiuses.

The design of the Lovett wedges are meant to allow golfers to play from sand or rough without having to change their golf swing; for example, without having to take an open stance and open the blade on sand shots. Golfers using the Lovett wedge, the company says, can accomplish good shots from sand and rough simply by sticking with their normal golf swing.

The Lovett Tour Gap Wedge features a loft of 52 degrees. It is available in True Temper steel or proprietary graphite shafts. The shaft length is 35 1/2 inches in steel and 35 7/8 in graphite. The grip is Eaton Tour Velvet.

MSRP at launch is $100 in steel or $120 in graphite. For more information on the Lovett Tour Gap Wedge, visit the Lovett Golf website.
