Cobra Golf is launching a new line of irons, the King Cobra Forged CB irons. "CB" stands for "cavity back."

The company says the new irons combine "a classic forged look at address with a forgiving game improvement cavity back design, the new KC Forged CB irons offer improved trajectory control and unmatched solid forged feel for a wide range of golfers."

"The King Cobra Forged CB irons will appeal to golfers across all skill levels that prefer the combination of solid forged iron feel with a large forgiving sweet spot," said Jeff Harmet, President, Cobra Golf. "The result is straighter, more consistent golf shots, keeping to our blueprint of making the game more enjoyable for golfers by offering quality, performance and innovative technology-based products."

The new King Cobra Forged CB irons are forged from S30C carbon steel, a softer alloy which provides soft feel and allows for custom fit lie options from 2 degrees up to 2 degrees flat.

The set features what Cobra calls a "variable 'muscle arch'," which is there to form a lower center of gravity in the long irons and a higher center of gravity in the short irons.

The cavity back design is intended to provide greater accuracy and forgiveness, while a modified sole is intended to generate "shallow divots" and improved playability from a variety of lies.

The irons are designed with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Sensicore shaft (127 grams) from 3-PW, with a 2-iron, gap, sand and lob wedges also available. The custom Golf Pride Tour Velvet 50D cord grip is the stock grip. Additional shaft and grip options are available through Cobra Custom.

The new King Cobra Forged CB irons carry an MSRP at launch of $999 per set of irons irons with steel shafts.
