A couple of fall releases from Titleist:

Titleist Scotty Cameron Red X Putters
The Scotty Cameron Studio and famed designer Scotty Cameron have two new versions of the Red X mallets ready for Titleist. The Red X3 and Red X5 replace, respectively, the original Red X and Red X2 in the Titleist putter lineup.

The shapes and profiles of the two new models are slightly different, as is their glare-resistant finish that Titleist calls "charcoal mist."

Both are 303 stainless steel, milled and machined inside and out, with an internal weight added in the center of the body, level to the equator of the ball. The soleplate on each is black aluminum and shaped so that the putters sit squarely (no face closure when grounded).

The Red X3 has a single-bend shaft with a quarter-shaft of offset. The Red X5 has a plumber's neck with a full shaft of offset.

Both models are available in lengths of 33, 34 and 35 inches in right hand. The Red X3 is also available in left hand at 35 inches (33 and 34 inches through Titleist Custom). Both models have 4 degrees of loft and a lie angle of 71 degrees, and come with the Cameron Baby T grip.

The Titleist Scotty Cameron Red X3 and Red X5 putters will be available at retail beginning Sept. 15. The MSRP is $300 each.

Titleist 906F4 Fairway Metals
Updating the 906F2 fairway woods (which will still be available through Titleist Custom), Titleist's 906F4 fairway woods focus on providing better golfers with shot-shaping capabilities, higher launch and higher trajectory.

The 906F4 fairway metals, compared to the 906F2, offer a lower, deeper center of gravity and a half-degree more of loft per club, plus increased spin. With a traditional pear shape and a longer, shallower face, the 906F4 woods also have a square face angle and more clearance on the trailing edge to minimize turf drag.

The Titleist 906F4 fairway metals are available in lofts of 13.5, 15.5 and 18.5 degrees. Standard shaft options are the 83-gram Aldila VS Proto 80 Fairway and the 69-gram Graphite Design YS-6+. (The VS Proto Fairway 80 shaft is designed to provide a medium to higher launch consistent with the VS Proto 65 driver shaft.) The stock grip is the Titleist Tour Velvet Rubber Round.

Availability begins in golf shops on Sept. 1. The MSRP is $225 per club with graphite shaft or $200 with steel shaft. Many custom shaft options are available through Titleist Custom.
