Hot on the heels of its successful Club-Lok anti-theft bag, Burton Golf is ready with what it calls a "hybrid" golf bag - a bag that rides just as well on a push cart as on a riding cart.

The Cruzer debuts at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in late January. It is a lightweight bag designed to fit comfortably in a riding cart and securely on a push cart, eliminating the need for golfers to change bags to fit their mode of transportation.

"The Cruzer golf bag effectively bridges the gap between large, feature-rich cart bags and lightweight, maneuverable stand bags," the company's news release on the Cruzer touts. "Cruzer's custom top allows easy club access while strapped to golf carts and reduces 'club clanking' during use in push and Speed Carts®. Its contoured bottom fits securely to cart brackets and eliminates sliding and twisting."

The Burton Cruzer features 11 exterior pockets, plus two different ways to hold your drinks. When used with a push cart, the angled beverage holder keeps drinks secure and upright; if the Cruzer is on a riding cart, the golfer uses the "Insulated Polar Zone" to keep the drinks cold.

The bag top is a 14-way, angle-top divider, with an integrated, front-access putter tube, and a side-aligned, raised area for woods.

The Cruzer is available in seven different color combinations. It carries an MSRP of $159. For more information, visit the Burton Golf website at www.burtongolf.com.
