Covington, Ga. — In 2005, Bridgestone Golf has elevated the science of golf ball engineering with the introduction of the new Bridgestone Tour B330 golf ball. The Tour B330, a three-piece urethane ball, features a 330 Seamless Cover Technology (SCT) dimple pattern for reduced drag during elevation, and a prolonged lift after peak trajectory, causing a shallower angle of descent. SCT replaces the typical ball seam line with complete dimple coverage, creating added distance and a more consistent flight for pinpoint accuracy. As a result of the prolonged lift, reduced drag and shallower descent towards the ground golfers will experience more carry and roll off the tee, producing maximum driving distance.

The Tour B330 also incorporates Bridgestone’s innovative new Speed Elasticity Core, using varying degrees of hardness from the inside to outside of the core, known as Gradational Compression Technology. The Speed Elasticity Core contributes to increased velocity off of the clubface and allows larger ball deformation to minimize spin off of the driver. The quicker restitution after impact results in maximum initial velocity. Optimal spin rate on iron shots is achieved with the combination of the soft urethane cover and Speed Elasticity Core.

"The Tour B330 is like no other ball the industry has seen," said Dan Murphy, Director of Marketing, Bridgestone Golf, Inc. "The Tour B330 utilizes proprietary Bridgestone polymer science technologies that were realized through years of industry leading tire research and development. The Tour B330 will provide unparalleled distance and accuracy to better players, for whom it was designed."

The Tour B330’s unique aerodynamic capabilities also make it a better ball for adverse conditions. Designed for a sharp penetrating ball flight, the Tour B330 is less affected by wind than its competitors.

In addition to the increased distance and accuracy, the Tour B330 does not sacrifice feel on and around the greens. The next generation thermoplastic polyurethane cover makes for a ball with excellent control and check performance on short iron shots and chips.

"In short, the Tour B330 delivers upon everything the skilled golfer seeks and is ideally suited for a high level of play," concluded Murphy.

The Tour B330 will be available at golf specialty stores and green grass retailers nationwide, beginning January 1st, 2005. The B330TM will feature a suggested retail price of $54.
