Sun Mountain, based in Missoula, Montana, has been a leader in golf bag technology for decades. The company has innovated in particular in the areas of stand bags (a product category in Sun Mountain was an originator) and lightweight and ultralight golf bags.
Sun Mountain makes a full array of golf bags, with its 2011 lineup including 10 carry bags (including ultralights), five cart bags and six bags designed for women golfers. The company also does good business in licensed bags, particularly customizing bags with school colors and logos.
