So what happens if, after Sorenstam and McGee add a child or two to their family, after Annika spends several years tending to her academy and course design businesses, the competitive bug strikes again? Might she return to tournament golf?
Many have speculated that is exactly what will happen. But in her farewell interview following the conclusion of the tournament, Sorenstam seemed very content with her decision to "step away":
"You know, life goes on, and I have said it before. I feel very content and very happy about my decision to move on."
