Annika Sorenstam, considered by many the greatest female golfer of all-time, announced earlier in 2008 that she would retire from competitive golf at the end of the year. And so when she arrived at the 2008 Women's British Open, the final major of the LPGA season, it also marked what is (unless she changes her mind, of course) the final major championship of Annika's storied career.

Sorenstam was never really in contention at Sunningdale Golf Club's Old Course, even struggling to make the cut. But her fans were out in force to send her off to loud cheers ... and autograph requests.
