U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship

By , About.com Guide

About the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship:

One of the United States Golf Association's (USGA) national championships, the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship is played annually at a different public golf course. The tournament is sometimes called the Women's "Publinks" as a kind of shorthand, or "Publinx."

The USWAPL, as it is abbreviated, is open to women amateurs who do not hold playing privileges at private courses - golfers who are not country-clubbers, in other words, but are public-course players.
