Horseshoe Bay Resort is in the resort community of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, on the shores of Lake LBJ and adjacent to the picturesque town of Marble Falls. Horseshoe Bay is located in the Texas Hill Country, about 70 miles from Austin and 80 miles from San Antonio. The resort includes three highly acclaimed, Robert Trent Jones-designed golf courses, plus the Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott Hotel, the first Marriott resort hotel in Texas.
The above photo shows the Slick Rock Course, which opened in 1972 as the first Robert Trent Jones course at Horseshoe Bay. The front nine plays through granite outcroppings and tree-lined fairways; the back nine is open and gently rolling.
