Submit Your Photos to About's Golf Players Gallery

By Brent Kelley, About.com

Are you a golf fan and an amateur photographer? Would you like to see your photos on one of the most-visited networks on the Web? You can submit your photos of professional golfers for use on the About Golf site as part of our new Tour Players Gallery.

We're especially interested in photos of the greatest golfers in the world (you know who they are), but photos of any professional golfer from any pro tour are welcome. No guarantees of use are made, of course, but we'll take a look at all photos submitted. If your photos are used, we'll send you an email with the URL of the page(s) on which they appear.

You will be given credit for your photos on all pages on which they are used, and your name can appear as a link if you desire.

What to Submit

We're looking for tour professional golfers on the course. That means we're not interested in a photo of you and your favorite golfer posing together at an autograph signing, or a pro golfer walking out of a grocery store with a sack of potatoes. (A player surrounded by fans, signing autographs, while on the course - or otherwise interacting with fans on the course - is acceptable.) Photos may be taken during Tour event practice rounds, rounds played at charity events, etc. Remember: Cameras are not allowed on the course during Tour events on tournament days; please observe Tour rules on photography.

How to Submit

1. Submissions are made via email, and first-time submissions should include no more than three photos. (You can indicate in the email if more photos are available.)

2. Photos MUST be in the JPEG (.jpg) format.

3. Photos MUST be no larger than 500 pixels in height or width (in other words, 500x500 is the maximum size).

4. Photos should be optimized for the Web, if your photo editor includes that option (if it doesn't, don't worry about it).

5. Submissions must include a brief description of each photo attached (i.e., "The photo named 'phil_memorial1' shows Phil Mickelson on the third hole at Muirfield during a practice round for The Memorial."). Two- or three-sentence descriptions for each submission are ideal. However, you can provide a lengthier description if there is a particularly interesting story that goes along with the photo.

6. ONLY SUBMISSIONS THAT INCLUDE THE FORM BELOW WILL BE CONSIDERED.
