Do you know where your other three Canadian Tour exemptions will come?
I play two weeks in a row here (in Austin), and then the next two are in California in April.

Have you encountered any Canadian Tour players yet? What is the reception?
A lot of the guys I know so I've seen a lot of my friends. It's been pretty great so far. A few guys have come up to me, other players, and introduced themselves to me, and said "We watched the show, it was great, welcome to the Canadian Tour." It's been really nice.

The golf course here is beautiful. Just being here, being able to play golf, is going to be exciting. I just don't take for granted anymore the opportunities to play. So I've just got to enjoy them while I have them. Who knows, these might be the only four tournaments I play all year.

Have you mapped out the rest of the year? Will you be trying to qualify for tournaments, or to play somewhere like the Hooters Tour or Golden Bear Tour?
I would love to play in any of those. It's money. I don't have the money to make a plan like that. I get that question a lot, "What are your plans? Where are you going to play this summer?" And I can't answer it. Or my answer to that is, "I hope I do get to play this summer." I don't care where. I just hope I get to play, but I can't make a plan because I don't have the financial resources to plan.

So you really need a sponsor to step up?
Yes. We were kind of hoping that would have happened already, but you just never know. Maybe they want to see how I'll play in a tournament situation first. Ping has been great to me. They actually flew me out to their facility in Phoenix. I met John Solheim, he's the one who flew me out there, and I got to get my clubs tweaked, fitted properly. That's been great.

There's been a lot of talk, a lot of dialog, about stuff, but nothing's official until it's official. I've learned that, so I don't get my hopes up about anything until it's official.

Have you seen Randy (Block) up there yet?
I haven't seen him yet. I'll see him tomorrow and we're going to play a practice round on Wednesday. (Editor's Note: Randy Block, a fellow Big Break competitor, also received an exemption into the Barton Creek Classic.)

Do you stay in touch with the Big Break guys?
Yeah, most of them. All the time. Emails and whatever, we keep in touch.

Will you watch the Big Break II?
Absolutely, it's fun to watch those kinds of things. Even if you're not a part of it. I still would have watched the first one even if I hadn't been a part of it.
