Definition: In golf, a "snowman" is something you definitely want to avoid. That's because snowman is the slang term for a score of 8 on any individual golf holf. (Why? Because an 8 looks like a snowman - one ball of snow sitting on top of another.)
A golf snowman won't melt anything but your scorecard.
