Demo Day

By Brent Kelley, About.com

Definition: A scheduled event, usually held at a driving range or practice facility, at which golfers in attendance will have the chance to try out golf clubs. Typically, numerous club companies will have equipment on hand and representatives from those club manufacturers may be present to answer questions. Some demo days are limited to one company, however. Demo days are usually free to attend.

Demo days are announced in advance by the hosting facility, and can also be found by visiting company Web sites. About Golf's "Demo Days Locator" collects these Web site announcements in one place for convenience.
