The Bottom Line

- Scents are less "medicinal" than you sometimes find in skin-care lotions.
- Lotions and hand sanitizers come with hand-towel included.
Cons
- Well, there's that name - "Fore Skin."
- Golf ball-shaped dispensers not easy to use when not clipped to bag.

Guide Review - "Fore Skin" and "Fore Your Skin" Skin-Care Products
These skin-care products are fine products (we tested the sunscreen and hand sanitizer, but not the lip balm) that are creatively packaged. The packaging is in the form of a golf-ball shaped dispenser that clips onto your golf bag. And the sunscreen and sanitizer dispensers come along with a hand towel in every package; the towel, also, clips onto the golf bag.
The scents were better smelling than many sunscreens on the market, although many male golfers would probably be most happy with a sunscreen that doesn't carry any scent at all.
The manufacturer, Fore Cosmetics, markets these specifically to golfers, and the company's Web site offers some good sun safety tips.
To use the products properly, you'll want to clip them onto your bag (the dispensers aren't as easy to use unless they are clipped to a golf bag). And when you do that, you'll be displaying the brand name from your golf bag.
Do you really want the words "Fore Skin" emblazoned on products you're carrying? I don't. There will certainly be golfers who find it funny enough to get a kick out of carrying "Fore Skin" products on their bag. Those golfers might even enjoy the product as a gag gift.
But many golfers may not find it funny, and for those the company offers the alternative branding, "For Your Skin."
It's a matter of taste with the name. The product itself is very solid with innovative and convenient packaging.
