Guide Review - Louisville Golf True Center Persimmon Insert Putter
"Softness" isn't the right word - but "vibration-dampening" just didn't fit! The persimmon insert is not a gimmick - Louisville Golf makes quality products the old-fashioned way (using persimmon, natch), and the True Center putter line is in that tradition. It's a great looking and feeling putter, very traditional in appearance. A bit hefty, but it is weighty in a good way - the golfer can really feel the club throughout the stroke. The persimmon threw off our distance control at first - we were leaving everything short. The dampening of vibrations is very pronounced, letting the feedback through clearly. But, OK, maybe it did play a little "soft." Be aggressive with this putter, we finally learned, and it rewards you.
