Guide Review - Merit Golf Zero Bounce Tour Sole Lob Wedge

A zero-bounce wedge is designed for better players in the sense that the lower the bounce angle, the better the club is for shots off fairway. Higher bounce is best for play out of rough and sand. But Merit Golf's Zero Bounce Tour Sole wedges do incorporate a blunt leading edge and narrow sole and in so doing make themselves more useful out of sand than most zero-bounce wedges. The 60-degree wedge tested performed well enough on splash shots from sand and, like most zero-bounce wedges, did fine in firmer sand. It really shined from the fairway, though, as designed. Very good feel due to the soft carbon steel head and u-shaped grooves. Easy to spin and easy to control.
