Aiming to meet the needs of a wider range of golfers, Precept has launched three new products highlighted by the innovative EC603 iron set.

Performance and forgiveness are the goals of Precept's new game-improvement clubs, the Tour Premium EC603 irons, Tour Premium wedges and the 21-degree 2-EZ utility club.

The Precept Tour Premium EC603 Irons are specifically designed for a wide range of players seeking playability, but with forgiveness on mishit shots. The irons are manufactured from SUS431 soft stainless steel, making them suited for customized loft and lie angles.

But the biggest news about the Tour Premium EC603 irons is the fact that the interiors of the clubheads are "stuffed," so to speak, with a specifically engineered elastomer compound insert (see photos). The goal is to promote a very soft feel and improved feedback.

But the interior clubhead insert isn't the only insert in the Tour Premium EC603 series. In addition, a tungsten insert in the trailing edge enables golfers to control trajectories and shape shots. These features make the EC603 irons, according to Precept, "perfect for mid to high handicappers looking for ultimate performance combined with a level of forgiveness they may not receive in a forged iron."

Precept expects the Tour Premium EC603 irons to bring golfers to the brand who may previously have not considered Precept irons. Precept says the EC603s will be a better fit for players looking for a higher level of performance and playability than the Precept EV irons provide, yet a little more forgiveness than they could receive from the Tour Premium CB Irons or the TourStage Irons.

In addition to the Tour Premium EC603 Irons, Precept has also unveiled a new set of Tour Premium wedges. The new wedges are available in 52, 56, and 60 degrees, and they are constructed with a softer stainless steel for more feel and playability than the first generation Tour Premium wedges. In addition, the new wedges feature a precision milled club face and an anti-glare oxide finish, giving them a classic gun-metal look.

The final addition to the Tour Premium club line is the new 21-degree 2-EZ utility club. While the original 18-degree 2-EZ proved a popular club for Precept, the company heard from many golfers who expressed the need for a little more loft to help get the ball up in the air. The 21-degree 2-EZ is the result. Both 2-EZ clubs feature a classic sole profile and the strategic placement of a tungsten weight to promote forgiveness and playability.

The Precept Tour Premium EC603 irons have a suggested retail price of $536 per set of 8 irons (3-PW). The Tour Premium wedges feature an MSRP of $100 per club, and the 2-EZ will retail for around $250. All irons are available exclusively with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts (R300, S300 and X100). Custom loft, lie and length adjustments are also available, as are custom shaft options.
