The Ovation, Adams says, is its "most user-friendly stainless steel fairway woods ever."
The clubs feature a very low center of gravity and very high moment of inertia, maximizing forgiveness and ease. The company says the Ovation also offers a low spin rate and high launch angle that "provide maximum distance for shots that go far and land softly."
Four models are available: Men's Standard, Men's Offset, Senior and Women's. Ovation comes stocked with an Aldila graphite shaft specifically designed to provide high launch conditions for fairway woods.
Tim Reed, Adams' VP of R&D said of the Ovation: "We increased carry distance by increasing the launch angle and reducing the spin-per-degree of launch. In fact, Ovation really came out strong when tested against other premium steel fairway woods for distance and forgiveness."
Added Adams CEO Chip Brewer: "Ovation gets Adams back to its fairway wood heritage. It was designed with sophisticated engineering, including launch monitors and 3-D modeling, not to mention the years of experience Adams has in the fairway wood category."
A look at the four models of the Ovation:
• Men's Standard: Available in Strong 3 (13°), 3- (15°), 4- (17°), 5- (19°), 7- (21°), 9- (24°) and 11-(27°) RH models. The 3, 5, 7 and 9 woods are also available LH. Shafts available are R, S and X flexes.
• Men's Offset: Available in 3- (15°), 5- (19°), 7- (21°), 9- (24°) and 11-(27°) RH models. The 3, 5 and 7 woods are also available in LH. Shafts available are R, S and X flexes.
• Senior: Available in 3- (16°), 5- (20°), 7- (22°), 9- (25°) and 11- (28°) RH models. Shafts available in a senior flex with a Winn oversize grip.
• Women's: Available in 3- (17°), 5- (21°), 7- (23°), 9- (26°) and 11-(29°) RH models. Shafts available in a women's flex and a Winn women's grip.
