Feel Golf's "Full Release" Grip Gets Golf World Talking

Feel Golf's new "Full Release" grips takes the approach of baseball bat manufacturers and applies it to golf clubs. And the USGA has ruled the new grips conforming.

Feel announced today that USGA approval has been received. The "Full Release" grip was displayed at the PGA Merchandise Show in February in its prototype stage and was named "The Top Discovery of The 2004 PGA Merchandise Show" by "Golfweek" magazine.

The Full Release grip uses "Tapered Technology," which Feel claims is the first major design change to golf grips in 100 years. The Full Release grip gets thicker as its runs up the shaft; that is, it tapers toward the handle-end of the shaft.

Feel says that this allows the golfer to fully release the club and attain maximum clubhead speed. Feel says, "The 'Tapered Technology' design of this grip is thinner in the left hand and thicker in the right hand - similar to the grip of a baseball bat. The Full Release Grip allows the golfer to more easily hold the club in the fingers of the left hand, promoting a correct grip and allowing the golfer to release the club through impact."

The Feel Golf Company is completing an infomercial that will begin airing in the U.S. in late March. Full Release grips will be available after April 1, 2004, on any of the clubs in Feel Golf's 2004 Product lineup.
