The first World Golf Championships event of 2013 is the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship. Do you have your brackets filled out? You can get a printable bracket on PGATour.com.

Four Irish golfers are together in the Bobby Jones division, and they are playing each other. No. 1 seed Rory McIlroy faces Shane Lowry in Round 1; and, in one of the first round's best matchups, Graeme McDowell plays Padraig Harrington.

Tiger Woods is the top seed in the Gary Player division, and his first-round foe is Charles Howell III.

The other No. 1 seeds are Louis Oosthuizen (vs. Richie Ramsey) and Luke Donald (vs. Marcel Siem). The tournament begins on Wednesday.

There is no "opposite field" tournament on either the PGA Tour or European Tour, but the LPGA Tour stages its second event of the season.

The Honda LPGA Thailand is where several top players who skipped last week's opener in Australia will make their 2013 debuts: Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Brittany Lincicome, Ai Miyazato, Morgan Pressel among them.

Lydia Ko, Yani Tseng, Jiyai Shin, and most of the tour's big names are playing. Keep an eye on the hometown favorite Jutanugarn sisters, 17-year-old Ariya and 18-year-old Moriya. Moriya, who has her LPGA Tour card, tied fourth last week at the Women's Australia Open. Ariya, who has her LET card (after the LPGA rejected her request for a minimum-age waiver) tied second at the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters in Australia several weeks ago.
