This Week: Phoenix Open and Dubai

Tiger Woods is coming off career PGA Tour win No. 75, and his seventh victory in the Farmers Insurance Open. But he's not playing this week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Woods won't play the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am next week, either; nor, according to his caddie, the Northern Trust Open the following week. So we won't see Woods again for three weeks, until the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship. (Rory McIlroy's schedule also currently shows him not playing until the WGC Match Play.)

Who is playing in Phoenix? Kyle Stanley is the defending champion, and Phil Mickelson is the headliner.

Others in the field include Ryo Ishikawa, Hunter Mahan, Nick Watney, Padraig Harrington, Keegan Bradley, Jason Dufner, Rickie Fowler and Brandt Snedeker.

And Bubba Watson, who is so excited about returning to the wild 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale that he's currently asking his Twitter followers to suggest ideas about what antics he should try on the hole. It will be even louder when Bubba shows up on No. 16 this year.

The European Tour concludes its Desert Swing with the Dubai Desert Classic. Rafa Cabrera-Bello is the defending champion, and the field is highlighted by Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Matteo Manassero.
