Karrie Webb is a winner again on the LPGA, for the first time since 2009 and for just the second time since the end of the 2006 season.

Webb carded a final-round 69 to win the LPGA's HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore by one stroke over third-round leader Chie Arimura. Yani Tseng, trying to claim her fifth victory in her fifth start of 2011, got within one stroke of the lead in the final round, but eventually settled for third place, three strokes behind Webb.

From 1996 through 2006, Webb won 35 times on the LPGA Tour, including seven majors. Her victory in Singapore is the 37th of her LPGA career, moving her within one of Carol Mann on the LPGA's all-time wins list. Webb is now in 12th place on that list.

An interesting bit of trivia about Webb: She's the only golfer in the game's history to win five different professional major championships. Put another way, she's the LPGA Tour's only "Super Career Grand Slam" winner.

The identity of LPGA majors has changed a few times over the tour's history. Both the Kraft Nabisco Championship and Women's British Open, for example, were played for years before either was recognized as majors. The du Maurier Classic was once a major on the LPGA Tour, but was last played in 2000.

So in the course of Webb's career, five different tournaments have been recognized as LPGA majors, and Webb won them all. The Super Career Grand Slam.

Webb won the du Maurier in 1999, Kraft Nabisco Championship and U.S. Women's Open in 2000; and, to complete the Super Career Grand Slam, the LPGA Championship and Women's British Open in 2001. (Webb actually won the Women's British Open twice previous to 2001, but both those victories were prior to the WBO being elevated to major status. That happened in 2001, after the du Maurier folded.)

Webb will likely always have this distinction to herself. The only golfer still playing full-time who won the du Maurier and needs only one other major to earn the Super Career Grand Slam is Juli Inkster, who needs to win the WBO. Laura Davies also won the du Maurier and has won each of the existing majors except for the Kraft Nabisco, but Davies' win in the Women's British Open happened before the WBO was recognized as a major.
