Natalie Gulbis, Dustin Johnson a Couple

(Update: About a week after the intial Gulbis comments below, Johnson said that he is not dating Gulbis.)

The only thing longer than Dustin Johnson's drives are Natalie Gulbis' legs. Now, Dustin and Natalie are combining their superhero powers. Gulbis confirmed this weekend what has been rumored: She and Johnson are a couple.

Gulbis gave the confirmation to golf.com, then added, according to the AP:

"I'll let Dustin handle our PR," Gulbis said with a laugh after confirming to the website they are dating.

Johnson declined comment.

Smart man. Natalie already has him trained well, apparently: Keep your mouth shut and look good, DJ.

Is it surprising that cross-tour hookups don't happen more often? I don't know - but they don't seem to happen very often. PGA Tour and LPGA Tour golfers sometimes share the same coaches, sometimes share the same practice facilities, the same management teams, have endorsement deals with the same companies, conduct clinics or corporate outings together. While they play on different tours (and live in different worlds in terms of income), there are plenty of opportunities for fraternization. Gulbis and Johnson reportedly got together at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge.

LPGA and LET player Minea Blomqvist and European Challenge Tour member Roope Kakko are together and have a baby; Martin Kaymer's girlfriend, Allison Micheletti, recently tried (but failed) to get through LET Q-School. Beth Bauer and Ryuji Imada dated during and after college. Arron Oberholser is married to former LPGA Tour player Angie Rizzo.

Help me out here, I know there are golf couples from the past who aren't coming to mind. Who are they? Post 'em if you got 'em in comments.

Whoever said Dustin Johnson was a “low profile guy” isn’t too sharp when it comes to the golf world. The guy has been on the cover of nearly every golf publication since he came on tour & won 2 tournaments last year as well as winning at pebble 2 years straight. Don’t forget the infamous collapse at pebble in the open & the bunker penalty at the P.G.A. to miss the playoff.

This page needs to be updated with current information as well, seeing how he has since emphatically denied any “relationship” with Gulbis & has professed to be a “Single Guy”

Natalie looks like a boy. Sure she’s skinny but she has a manly face.

there is no “relationship”, Dustin sampled the goods and moved on, Johnson contends that he is a single guy, maybe Natalie got the message.
