Your champion golfer of the year, Louis Oosthuizen, is in Sweden this week for the European Tour's Nordea Scandinavian Open. If I were Louis, I'd give myself the week off and just keep celebrating winning the British Open.

The PGA Tour heads to Toronto for the RBC Canadian Open. Which means it's once again time to ask the annual question: Can Mike Weir finally win this tournament?

Answer: No. Weir just isn't playing well in 2010. He started off with a sixth-place finish at the Bob Hope Classic, but since then has no Top 20s and has missed four of his last six cuts.

There are 13 Canadians in the field, and Stephen Ames is the one with the best shot to win his own national championship. Ames is having a bit better year than Weir, but he hasn't played since the U.S. Open.

The defending champion is Nathan Green, who beat Retief Goosen in a playoff last year. Both are back. Among the top players in the field are Ricky Barnes, Paul Casey, Tim Clark, Fred Couples, Ben Crane, Luke Donald, Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan, Sean O'Hair and Camilo Villegas. John Daly and David Duval are also playing.

The Canadian Open is one of the oldest tournaments on the PGA Tour. Check the tournament profile for the list of past champions plus tourney trivia and notes.
