Dustin Johnson's victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am was the third of his young PGA Tour career. He is the first golfer since Tiger Woods to go from college to the PGA Tour and win in each of his first three seasons on tour.

Johnson is going to be part of the American Ryder Cup team later this year, so this week's WGC Accenture Match Play Championship is a good place to see what he brings to the course in match play. A strong run by Johnson would also provide a great storyline for a tournament that is missing the two biggest stars in golf.

Woods - well, we know why Tiger isn't playing. And Phil Mickelson decided to schedule a family vacation this week.

Johnson is the No. 11 seed in the Gary Player division, and faces Camilo Villegas in the first round on Wednesday. The Player division's top seed is Lee Westwood, who starts against Chris Wood.

Other No. 1 seeds and their first-round matchups are Steve Stricker (vs. Ross McGowan) in the Bobby Jones division; Martin Kaymer (vs. Chad Campbell) in the Ben Hogan division; and Jim Furyk (vs. Scott Verplank) in the Sam Snead division.

Some of the other interesting first-round matchups include Ryo Ishikawa vs. Michael Sim; Sergio Garcia vs. David Toms; and Ernie Els vs. Ryan Moore.

Defending champion Geoff Ogilvy is seeded third in the Player division and opens with Alexander Noren. No. 1 overall seed Stricker is a past champion here, winning the WGC Match Play in 2001.

The other attention-getter at Pebble Beach, David Duval, is playing the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico this week, as is John Daly.
