Are there any golf courses in your area that have power lines stretched above and across some fairways? There are a few of these situations in my hometown, including at an upscale resort that once hosted a PGA Tour event.
So let's say you're playing such a course, and are on a hole where power lines cross the fairway. You blast a drive, admire it as it soars high and long - only to see the ball smash into those power lines and careen off course or drop straight down to the ground. What to do? What are the options or requirements under the rules in such a situation?
See our rules FAQ, Do I get to replay the stroke if my golf ball hits overhead power lines?
