Report: Woman Taken in Ambulance From Woods House

By December 8, 2009

Just when you thought the Tiger Woods blowup couldn't get any stranger ... Now another 911 call has drawn emergency responders to the Woods complex in Windermere, Fla., and an as-yet-unidentified woman was taken from the home on a stretcher and transported to the same hospital at which Tiger was treated following his crash.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the 911 call was made at 2:36 a.m. Tuesday morning. The woman's identity and condition, and the cause of the 911 call, are not known as of this writing. One Orlando news site describe the woman as having blonde hair. A black SUV similar to the one crashed by Woods arrived at the hospital shortly after the ambulance did, according to reports.

Let's hope the woman taken to the hospital is OK. And meantime, stay tuned.

Update: The hospital has confirmed that the woman addmitted is Barbro Holmberg, Elin's mother and Tiger's mother-in-law. A hospital spokesperson said Holmberg is suffering from a "stomach ailment" and is still being evaluated.
