When you see a golf tournament described as a "scramble," you probably know what that means. It's a common format used for club tournaments, charity outings and so forth. (If you're not sure, check the scramble definition.) But what about all the different kinds of scrambles?
Scrambles can go by different names depending on minor changes in the specifics of the competitions - or, sometimes, based on different names in use in different geographical regions. Here are some of the more common scramble variations:
