Someone needs to start a blog called John Daly's Pants.It's the first round of the European Tour's Spanish Open today, but it's the second day of John Daly's new wardrobe. (For a reminder of the outfit he showed up in during the Spanish Open pro-am, see yesterday's post.) Today's golf pants aren't nearly as loud as yesterday's orange-red-pink checkerboard get-up, but they continue Daly's apparently newfound fashion adventurism.
Has he signed an endorsement deal with Loudmouth Golf, makers of extremely loud and so-ugly-some-people-love-it golf apparel? A check of the Loudmouth Web site reveals no news of any deal. But here are the pants Daly wore today, and here are the pants he wore on Wednesday. Loudmouth calls yesterday's pair "Raspberry SureBet" and today's pair "BarCode." Hmmm, BarCode. Somehow that seems appropriate for Daly.
We assume the adventure will continue on Friday. And now we have more reason to hope Daly makes the cut. He posted a round of 70 today.
