Wedding Bells for Annika
Annika Sorenstam got married.The wedding to longtime boyfriend Mike McGee took place on Saturday (Jan. 10) at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla. Sorenstam and McGee have been together for more than three years, and got engaged in August, 2007.
McGee is the son of former PGA Tour pro Jerry McGee. A onetime agent, he has been managing director of the "Annika" business brand since 2006.
A brief news report on the ceremony notes that 125 guests were attendance. Annika's bridesmaid was Maria Bertilskold, her best friend from Sweden.
The couple will honeymoon with a ski trip. But not until after another couple weeks of work. Sorenstam hosts the Annika Invitational next week, an American Junior Golf Association tournament; then she appears at the PGA Tour Merchandise Show; then she plays in the Annika Celebration Feb. 1-3, an exhibition match with Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis at Ginn Reunion Resort in Florida.
