The PGA Tour has released its schedule for the 2009 season. Well, most of it. Yet to be announced are the tournaments and dates for the Fall Series, and also the date of the Tour Championship.
The Tour Championship will be played either Sept. 17-20 or Sept. 24-27, 2009, pending a final decision on whether to build an off-week into the schedule, as was done in 2008.
The biggest change in the schedule is the move of the Valero Texas Open from the Fall Series portion of the schedule to a Spring date. The Texas Open is grouped in May with the Byron Nelson Championship and the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, for a three-week Texas swing.
