John Daly Joins List of Golfers With Their Own Wines

Tuesday November 11, 2008
In recent years, John Daly has been more associated with whines than with wines. And he's always been more associated with whiskey than with wine.

But he now has his own wine label, John Daly Wines. "Grip it and sip it!" he exclaims on the Web site. The site also includes this:

The John Daly wine selection is a specially crafted range, conceived and blended to reflect unique and different aspects of one of the world's most thrilling and big-hearted golfers.

The wines carry the monickers of "Fairway Range" (a chardonnay and shiraz); "Lion's Range" (a chardonnary and a cabernet sauvignon); and a limited-edition "Perfect Round" (3,000 bottles of a 2003 Bourdeaux blend).

No word on whether the wines will be available at Hooters, but they can be ordered online by consumers in some U.S. states. The Web site also includes a list of distributors and retailers.
