PGA Championship Tee Times, Rounds 1 and 2

There are two groups at the 2008 PGA Championship that are good candidates to draw two of the largest galleries over the first two days:

• Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Fred Couples
• Sergio Garcia, Anthony Kim, Camilo Villegas

There is plenty of star power in those two groups. There are plenty of good candidates to win the championship in those two groups. And there are plenty of guys the ladies love in those two groups.

What about the other top championship contenders? Last week's winner, Vijay Singh, plays with David Toms and John Daly. Singh and Daly are friends, but whether playing with a friend is good for Vijay or not probably depends on whether Daly is actually trying or just phoning it in.

Phil Mickelson (who always gets the largest gallery when Tiger Woods is absent) is paired with fellow past champions Davis Love and Rich Beem. A couple other marquee groups to keep an eye on:
