British Open, Round 2: Choi Leading; Norman, Duval in Hunt

Friday July 18, 2008
Do not adjust your set. This is not 1988, or 1998. It's 2008. But, yes, that really is Greg Norman in solo second after two rounds of the British Open. And that really is David Duval tied for fourth:

Round 2 Leaders
K.J. Choi, 72-67--139
Greg Norman, 70-70--140
Camilo Villegas, 76-65--141
Rocco Mediate, 69-73--142
Graeme McDowell, 69-73--142
Jim Furyk, 71-71--142
Robert Allenby, 69-73--142
Alexander Noren, 72-70--142
Padraig Harrington, 74-68--142
David Duval, 73-69--142
Full Leaderboard

K.J. Choi is in the lead; Jim Furyk is playing - and putting - well; Camilo Villegas fired a 65 on Friday; and defending champion Padraig Harrington, battling a sore wrist, moved into contention. But Norman and Duval - two golfers who haven't sniffed victory in a very long time - offer probably the most interesting storylines.

Meanwhile, a little lower on the scoreboard, Phil Mickelson recovered from his horrendous opening 79 with a round of 68 on Friday, moving well up in the standings to within eight shots of the leader.
