Full Scoreboard

Woods began the day with a 1-stroke lead, but opened with a double-bogey and a bogey on the first two holes. After that, the lead changed hands several times until late on the back nine Mediate wound up the only golfer under par.

He parred the 18th hole to finish at 1-under, and led Woods and Lee Westwood by one. Woods and Westwood each had birdie putts on the final hole to force the playoff. Westwood missed his putt, but Woods snuck his in the side of the hole to tie Mediate at 1-under.
