Allenby's Playoff Magic Ends at St. Jude Championship

Robert Allenby has four career PGA Tour wins, and three of those were earned in playoffs. He has won numerous other tournaments around the world, and seven other times Allenby has won in playoffs. His playoff record before Sunday was a perfect 10-0. Not even Tiger Woods can match that playoff success (although he comes close).

But that was before Sunday. That was before Allenby shot 65 in the final round of the Stanford St. Jude Championship, wound up in a playoff against Justin Leonard and Trevor Immelman, but failed to win. For the first time in his career, Allenby emerged from a playoff a loser.

And the winner? Justin Leonard, earning his 12th career PGA Tour victory.
