Daly Goes Shirtless, Gets Blasted by Harmon Again

And no, the two aren't connected. We don't think. Although we do think that John Daly should keep a shirt on at all times.

What's this business about Daly going shirtless? Daly was recently interviewed on the site of a golf course in Missouri where he served as a consultant during construction. The interview was about a 2- or 3-minute segment on the morning show of a local Missouri television station.

And throughout the interview - for reasons known only to himself (or perhaps for reasons not even known to himself) Daly was shirtless. And shoeless.

Nothing really surprises anymore when it comes to Daly. But still quite odd. You can watch the video on You Tube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6HXfA__e14.

As for his former instructor Butch Harmon: Recall that about six weeks ago Harmon very publicly dumped Daly as a client, saying of Daly that "the most important thing in his life is getting drunk."

Daly is in Spain this week to play the Spanish Open on the European Tour. And he told reporters there on Wednesday that he'd recently spoken with Harmon, and that Harmon had apologized.

Harmon was contact by Yahoo Sports and asked if that was true. He didn't mince words in his reply:

"That story is complete BS. John Daly called me last Thursday and said, 'Pro you killed me. I've lost all my contracts.' I said to him, 'John, I'm sorry you lost your contracts, but I haven't done anything to you. You did it to yourself, and you continue to do it to yourself.' He asked if I would go on the record with a retraction, and I said no."

And in what is perhaps an understatement, Harmon added, "This is just another strange chapter in the John Daly saga."
