Take Advantage of "Free Lesson Month" in May

If it's May - and it will be in a few days - then it's PGA Free Lesson Month in the United States.

What is PGA Free Lesson Month? It's an endeavor of the Play Golf America campaign to introduce more golfers to their local teaching professionals. Participating golf instructors around the country are waiting for your call to set up your appointment for a free, 10-minute lesson.

Wait, the lesson is only 10 minutes long? What good is that? Well, it can be plenty good for you if you know how to make the most of it.

As for signing up to get your free lesson, that's very easy. Just visit the Play Golf America Web site and click on the "PGA Free Lesson Month" link. Plug your ZIP Code into the "Find a Participating PGA Professional" search box and find the instructor you'd like to visit. Then call and schedule your lesson.
