Trevor Immelman Wins The Masters
The South African is the 2008 Masters champion after shooting 75 in very tough conditions on Sunday. Very few golfers broke par in the final round, and those golfers who were closest to Immelman at the start of the day - Brandt Snedeker, Steve Flesch and Paul Casey - posted scores of 77, 78 and 79, respectively.
It was Tiger Woods who wound up second with a 72. Woods had a very frustrating day, seeming to be just a little off, especially with putting, and missing many opportunities.
Immelman made a huge par-saving putt on No. 11, and had a great approach on No. 13. His margin would have been larger had he not knocked his tee shot in the water on the par-3 16th. That cut his margin from five strokes to three, which wound up being his final margin.
