Profile: Seve Ballesteros

The great Spanish golfer makes his Champions Tour debut today at the Regions Charity Classic. Ballesteros won 56 times on the European Tour, but only once (not including his five majors) on the U.S. PGA Tour. He wanted to play more in America during the 1980s, but the PGA Tour at that time had rules in place requiring a minimum number of tournaments that Ballesteros felt was too high. He wanted to split time between America and Europe - as many players do today - but the PGA Tour essentially told him, "all or nothing." So Seve headed back to Europe.
