Our golf fitness program for getting back into the game has so far addressed flexibility, balance and core training. The final step is to add functional training to the routine.
"Functional training" refers to exercises that work the entire body. And a good golf functional training exercise is the Rotational Lunge with Medicine Ball.

really good artical the fitness benefits of golf are really underestimated largely. My farther who is 55 is unable to run anymore beacuse of his knees but by playing golf he keeps up a good level a fitness and after a recent check up at the docotors was told he was very fit for his and this is largely due to golf. Also i play rugby on a saturday and play gold on a sunday as a recovery session to get the blood flowing had has so many benefits to all people
