Fitness Program: Golf Core Training

Wednesday January 31, 2007
We've implemented flexibility and balance exercises into our golf fitness program, now it's time to add golf core training.

"Core training" refers to the area around the trunk of the body, from above the knees to just below the chest. Strength, endurance and power from the muscles of the core play a big role in the golf swing. So the Tubing Side Rotation is a good exercise for core training, because it addresses those elements.

Read the golf core training intro, then see how to do the Tubing Side Rotation exercise.

(Our golf fitness program is designed to help golfers get back into game shape following a layoff from golf, but it can be implemented by any golfer.)
