Ashley Prange Wins "Big Break V"
Jeanne Cho (bio | photos) and Ashley Prange (bio | photos) sqaured off for the championship of "The Big Break V: Hawaii" Tuesday night, in an 18-hole, match-play showdown. And Ashley emerged as the champion, claiming the LPGA Tour exemption into the Safeway Classic, Futures Tour exemptions for the remainder of the 2006 season, and various other prizes that included a car, merchandise, and coaching from noted instructor Dean Reinmuth.Ashley got a few lucky breaks early - such as having her ball skip off the water and up onto land - to stay even when she wasn't playing well. Then she picked up her pace while Cho fell off, leaving Cho behind. Ashley closed it out early for a 5-and-4 victory.
Given Ashley's performance in "The Big Break V," but even moreso her performance so far this year on the Futures Tour (where she has one win and is second on the money list), it looks like she is the first "Big Break" champion with a realistic shot at moving up to the next level and being successful.

Well, she is kind of a “B”, and the BBV competition was a bit weak….. I don’t think she will ever be a BIG name on the LPGA, or even a medium success…. but she might hang around the lower levels for a year or two…. has a swing that will get her into much trouble, and the weight will be an issue…..
your kidding me — jj… what does her weight have to do with being good ( pat hurst, big mama, etc.. your not even in the ball park with your prediction… try talking about her competetive spirit..and will to win.. if you can win on futures tour..you can win again at another level.. ( oh I think Laurie Davies.. is a bit on the large size too.. they really had a hard time because of their weight.. too..

Matt… well I don’t know about telling Anica to watch out..but that is definately positive thinking… I am just saying that Ashley fits well with the pros and would enjoy a very prosperous career…
I think ashley has got it all power presition and quality she will be a top name on the ladies tour.
By the way is she single because i fancy her like rotten she is hot the best golfer and best looking lady on the show. from a 33year old english fan if she reads this ill give her a game at collingtree golf club in northants england

I guess maybe going from Futures Tour to number one in the world is very optemistic, but in time and the right guidance she’s got the grit and determination to do things, in agreement with Chris, she is very attractive, and i guess there is little chance she would be reading this, but if by any chance she got to be playing in the British Womans Open i’d definately make the effort to go watch. Must BIG props to BIGBREAKV creators, i’ve never been so compelled on a Monday night!!!(Apart from Julies bitterness!!) And finally ASHLEY all the best with the future….you’re so determined you shout “SH@T” even when you hit the fairway!!! Come practice your links play in North Norfolk….
